Step 1 – The school in the USA produces a list of students who want to take part in the E-Pal program.
Step 2 - CSL will confirm available space and the school will pay a 20% deposit.
Step 3 – CSL partners each U.S. student with a Chinese high school student. The Chinese student will send an email to the U.S. student introducing him or herself as their E-Pal.
Step 4 – We will have a virtual classroom meeting. Schedule for the class will depend on time zone of the U.S. school and student class schedule. All students involved in the program will come together in a classroom and see their Chinese or American E-pals projected on a screen. Each student will do a short introduction and say a quick hello to their E-Pal.
Step 5 - The school will pay the remaining balance for the program fee.
Step 6 – Students are given regular assignments (one every week or two) throughout the semester to complete with their E-Pal. The assignments are relatively open-ended and lend themselves to continued communication.
We ask that schools provide a list of confirmed students no later than 2 months prior to the intended program start date.
