Week 1

Day 1    Airport pick-up / arrive at hotel and have a rest / Students receive cell phones / Arrival ceremony (dinner of Beijing duck)
Day 2    Chinese class / Visit Hutongs at Hou Hai Lake (Traditional homes of the Beijing people)
Day 3    Chinese class / Chinese Acrobatics & Kung Fu show or Peking Opera show
Day 4    Chinese class / Forbidden City trip
Day 5    Chinese class / Free afternoon
Day 6    Ba Da Chu Temple for hiking and Buddhist culture study
Day 7    Jing Shan Park for morning exercise / Bei Hai Park in the afternoon

Week 2

Day 8     Chinese class / Shopping at silk market
Day 9     Chinese class / Picnic at The Summer Palace
Day 10   Chinese class / Temple of Heaven Trip
Day 11   Chinese class / Calligraphy class / Unique “hot pot” style dinner
Day 12   Chinese class / Chinese Foot Massage
Day 13   Great Wall Trip (2 hours outside Beijing)
Day 14   Tea house for tea culture presentation and tasting / Shopping at Wangfujing street

Week 3

Day 22   Chinese class / Chinese Kung Fu class
Day 23   Chinese class / Depart for Xi An (overnight train)
Day 24   Arrive in Xi An / Settle in at hotel / Visit old Xi An and Wild Goose Pagoda / Traditional Shanxi dinner
Day 25   Visit the ancient Terracotta Warriors / Dinner in the Muslim quarter / Depart for Beijing (overnight train)
Day 26   Return to Beijing and rest
Day 27   Shopping at different Beijing markets / Farewell dinner of Beijing Duck
Day 28   Airport drop-off / Return home


Program Fee: $2,850

•    Minimum number of students is 12.
•    Minimum student age is 13.
•    Program fee includes all tuition and materials for Chinese language classes, 2-3 meals per day, all trips, activities and day excursions, cell phone rental, airport pick-up and drop-off.
•    Program fee does not include Airfare, medical insurance that students must have in home country prior to arriving in Beijing, passport, Chinese visa and personal expenses.
•    Chinese language courses will have two sections (beginner and intermediate).  The term “Chinese class” in the schedule above refers to two, back-to-back, 50-minute classes.
