Health and Safety
Our primary concern at China Study Link is for student safety. We have tailor-made our programs revolving around this fact. China is a relatively safe country with low crime rates. Students always feel very safe while living in Beijing.Measures taken
   Group leaders
- On our group programs we will have at least one or more group leaders for every 10 students in the group. This allows us to better look after each student as well as give more attention to individual student needs.
Cell phone
- Most of our programs have a cell phone rental built into the fees. Upon arrival students are given a cell phone. We all know how important these can be. We see this item as indispensable and extremely useful. The cell phones will be able to receive international calls so parents can contact students any time and any place.Homestay families
Choosing families to host our students is something we take great care and time doing. There is an extensive application process where we look into the daily life and activity of each family. We keep our students safety in mind when interviewing families who are interested in hosting. The experience is not only educational but extremely safe.Immunizations
No special immunizations are needed for travel in ChinaMedical care in China
Hospitals in Beijing are modern and well-equipped. most hospitals have doctors on call 24 hours a day. There will be plenty of medical care available should a student come down with a sickness of any kind.Insurance
Full medical insurance must be purchased prior to the start of the program. Please make sure the insurance policy applies while in China. The fees for most of our programs also include additional travel insurance while the student is studying in China with China Study Link.Tips for travel in China
-Always carry copies of your passport
-Don't carry too much cash
-Keep important phone numbers handy
-Keep medical/travel insurance info handy
-Make sure someone else knows where you are at all times
-Be respectful with what you say about China and Chinese history
-Outlets in China are 220 volts so if you bring appliances from the United States you will need a converter as well
-Set up a SKYPE account and make calls anywhere over the Internet. Students will receive a cell phone upon arrival in China. These cell phones can receive any international call free of charge, however, a SKYPE account is a cheap and easy way to call home and would also save parents money on placing calls to China.
